Dr. Ukadike is originally from Imo, Nigeria but lived a significant part of his life in Ventura County and Los Angeles County, California. He earned his MS degree in Biotechnology & Bioinformatics at California State University Channel Islands and worked for several years as a Research Associate in both academia and biotechnology industry before going to medical school. He attended medical school at Ross University School of Medicine and completed residency in Internal Medicine at Englewood Hospital & Medical Center before coming to University of Washington for fellowship in Rheumatology. He is interested in translational research with a focus on the upstream molecular mechanisms of autoimmunity in lupus, vasculitis, and rheumatoid arthritis that can be targeted for drug discovery and personalized medicine. Some of his hobbies include sewing & alterations, table tennis, and soccer.
