Kennedy Ukadike MD, MS, was an inaugural recipient of the UW Department of Medicine Diversity Academic Development Scholarship Awards (DADSA), receiving $100,000 over 2 years.
This award is designed to help the Department of Medicine retain and recruit outstanding URM (underrepresented minority) fellows and junior faculty interested in academic careers.
Dr. Ukadike is a third year Senior Fellow & Acting Instructor with the Division. Currently he works in the Mustelin lab researching lupus and autoimmunity. Dr. Ukadike completed medical school at Ross University in Dominica and also obtained a MS degree in Biotechnology & Bioinformatics at California State University Channel Islands.
