Walk to Cure Arthritis The Division of Rheumatology is excited to take part in the Arthritis Foundation's 2020 Virtual Walk to Cure Arthritis on May 16th!

The Walk to Cure Arthritis, the Arthritis Foundations flagship fundraising event, has been moved to a virutal platform to allow individuals to take part in the event while staying safe at home. The Head of the UW Division of Rheumatology, Dr. Keith Elkon, is serving as a Medical Honoree at the event, while Division members are getting involved in other ways. During the kick-off event that took place on April 25th, both Dr. Elkon and Dr. Grant Hughes, our Fellowship Program Director and Section Head at Harborview Medical Center, were featured in video clips discussing the Division's commitment to research and excellent patient care. You can check out their videos below!

In addition, our Clinical Trials and Biorepository team consisting of Dr. Bobby Han, Dr. Sarah Chung and Jennifer Schaeffer (Clinical Research Manager) hosted a Lunch & Learn Session with AF to discuss the importance of clinical trials and the collection of patient samples for studies. You can find that video below and access the presentation slides here

The final event will be taking place on May 16th at 1pm through the Arthritis Foundation's National Facebook page. If you would like to join the Division of Rheumatology's team for the event you can do so here!
