The James J. Lane Jr., M.D. Endowed Lecture Series was established to honor Dr. Lane’s contributions to the field of clinical rheumatology. Dr. Lane was the first fellowship trainee in the fledgling Division of Arthritis at the University of Washington from 1958 to 1959. Each year in March, a lecture is held in honor of Dr. Lane.
