Biography:
Dr. Ning Wang earned her Ph.D. in Computational Biology from the Shanghai Institute for Nutrition and Health at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in June 2024. During her doctoral research, she investigated transcriptome dynamics and alternative splicing events associated with cancer—particularly lung adenocarcinoma—and uncovered key molecular mechanisms driving disease progression. This work ignited Dr. Wang’s interest in the role of neoantigens, not only in oncology but also in the pathology of autoimmune disorders. Throughout her Ph.D. training, Dr. Wang actively collaborated with wet-lab teams, seamlessly integrating computational analyses with experimental validation. By leveraging advanced bioinformatic strategies and complex datasets, she was able to reveal new molecular insights that inform her current research focus: understanding how neoantigens influence the onset and progression of autoimmune conditions. Ultimately, Dr. Wang aims to guide the development of more precise diagnostic tools and targeted therapies, contributing to improved patient outcomes across a broad spectrum of immune-mediated diseases.
