Robert F. and Betty Snead

The Robert F. and Betty Snead Fund for Innovation in Lupus Research was created to honor the memory of Betty Snead, Patricia’s mother, who passed away from lupus many years ago at the age of 50, as well as the memory of her father, Robert F. Snead, who passed away in 2011.

Mrs. Snead was a champion golfer and a central figure in the family’s car dealership businesses until she was first diagnosed with lupus at the age of 35. After witnessing Mrs. Snead’s struggles over many years, the Judy family has always had an interest in supporting lupus research.

By creating the Robert F. and Betty Snead Fund for Innovation in Lupus Research, the Judy family, including daughter Jennifer Sanow and son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Julie Judy, will be supporting innovative new research projects that help us better understand lupus and, one day, help us create better treatments for it.
