Dr. Kaia Barth grew up in Federal Way, Washington. She attended the University of Washington for her undergraduate degree, majoring in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology. She returned to the University of Washington for medical school, where she spent two years studying at the Spokane regional campus and participated in the WWAMI Program, completing her clerkships across the five-state region that UW School of Medicine serves. She left UW to complete residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, where she developed her passion for Rheumatology.
